Acetic acid demand in India holds up for most of the year and usually dips in winter. End users kept buying strongly in 2025-26. The outlook is growth of about 5.7% a year from 2026-27 to 2030-31.

GNFC, the largest producer with about 150,000 MT per annum of capacity, has lately run its plant at more than 100%. Jubilant Ingrevia and Laxmi Organics run below capacity: their process uses ethyl alcohol, and that does not pay.

Watch methanol too. It is the main feedstock, and acetic acid prices move with it.
