CARE cuts India's only MEK maker: Cetex downgraded on debt-funded expansion and a new owner – 6 Jul 2026

Cetex Petrochemicals, the country's sole manufacturer of MEK and secondary butyl alcohol, has been downgraded a notch by CARE as a large debt-funded capex looms and control passes to Samko Holdings. The action lands in the same fortnight MEK prices cratered.
