Sinopec Yangzi shuts its entire 500,000-TPA PE complex - East China prices jump – 15 Jun 2026

All polyethylene units at Sinopec's Yangzi Petrochemicals - three low-pressure lines plus a 230,000-TPA full-density unit, 500,000 TPA in all - are down with no restart date. East China PE spot prices rose 50-100 yuan/tonne immediately, with the supply gap expected to lift the national price centre.
