Institutions revolt at Himadri: independent director re-appointed only on promoter votes – 12 Jun 2026

Public institutions voted 50.69% against Girish Vanvari's second five-year term — 1.68 crore votes against versus 1.63 crore for — and the special resolution passed at 95.16% only because the promoters' 26.49 crore shares went 100% in favour. Fellow director Gopal Malpani drew just 9% institutional opposition, making the targeted dissent the question to put to the proxy advisors.
