The Labour Codes are landing in India Inc's P&Ls: two chemical companies booked the hit in one day's filings – 12 Jun 2026

Kansai Nerolac took a Rs 44.72 crore exceptional charge and Sumitomo Chemical India Rs 15.19 crore, both flowing from the four Labour Codes notified on 21 November 2025 that consolidated 29 labour laws. Sumitomo's notes say it is still waiting on Central and State rules — meaning more charges are coming across corporate India, and these filings are the early map.
