ONGC pulls four jack-up rig charter after early-January extensions – 12 Jan 2026

ONGC’s four-rig, three-year jack-up charter was engineered as a compliance-heavy offshore package, with document-area discipline designed to make “technical completeness” machine-checkable.

After pushing the submission and opening dates deeper into January, the tender has now been cancelled with competent authority approval.

The missing piece is the technical trigger—whether rig-availability, certification proof-load, or qualification structure friction ultimately broke the process.
