ONGC tests a split lease-vs-ownership route for a 4–6 MMSCMD MOPU to unlock Mumbai high gas – 24 Dec 2025

ONGC is pushing a bridge-connected, high-pressure gas processing MOPU concept that looks less like a vessel hire and more like outsourcing an entire offshore facility.

The early signals on “no dry dock due,” asset-age gates, and long-duration O&M accountability will narrow the field to a specific class of owners/operators.

The bigger question sits in the contracting seams: how ONGC plans to enforce performance when leasing and operating roles are split.
