Taiyo Oil’s Shikoku refinery will take in heavy pyrolysis fractions
The refinery will convert them into chemically recycled naphtha and propylene
These products will then flow to Mitsui Chemicals under a mass balance model
It marks Japan’s first refinery–cracker collaboration in chemical recycling
