After multiple reviews, the Expert Appraisal Committee has cleared a 56,000 TPA coal tar distillation project in Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal.

The plant, by B.S. Tar Pvt. Ltd., pledges zero liquid discharge, 40% green cover, and real-time emission monitoring—marking a test case in balancing industrial growth with strict environmental compliance.
