PLL: EAC clears direct shift to land-based project – 3 Jul 2025

Petronet LNG Ltd has secured EAC nod to scrap its earlier phased FSRU strategy and go straight for a 5 MMTPA land-based LNG terminal at Gopalpur Port.

The pivot comes amid global FSRU shortages and full land allotment by the Odisha government, with EAC mandating new disaster and impact assessments in the upcoming EIA/EMP.
