GAIL pushes Srikakulam–Angul pipeline completion to December amid forest clearance delays

GAIL has revised the completion timeline for its 744 km Srikakulam–Angul pipeline project from June to December 2025. While the 422 km mainline is mechanically complete and under commissioning, progress on the 322 km spur line has slowed due to pending forest permissions.

The revised project cost has gone up by Rs 411 crore—marking a 5.24% escalation—as Board approval clears the way for staggered commissioning.
