The industry’s biggest names are eyeing ONGC’s real-time data aggregation contract for 36–46 rigs.

Their pre-bid queries indicate intense focus on cloud, analytics integration, and bandwidth handling in low-connectivity zones.

Real-time data from over 70 rigs—integrated, analyzed, and visualized centrally—is no longer a side project. ONGC’s RTDOC + Tiered Cloud/On-Prem solution signals a fundamental shift in upstream digital operations.

ONGC revised cloud uptime to 99.9%, shortened VAPT cycles to 6 months, and defined a 6-month exit support window. Vendors must now build fault-tolerant, future-proof systems.

With dashboards supporting 400 parameters per rig and HMIs required at both drill floor and RTDOC, the specs challenge vendors to blend hardware ruggedness with real-time data agility.
