ONGC: Parcelling out equity now in its blocks – 9 Apr 2025

It is great that ONGC is doing it. This is a great beginning.

It is not just bringing in a technical consultant like it did with BP for Mumbai High

It is now bringing in technical inputs from an expert who will also be given equity in the asset

It is easier to work this out in a new property, but in ageing properties it is more difficult to estimate base line production, rate of decline and future incremental production

But with Ai-related tools, that job too can be more transparent, and bringing in partners with stakes will get easier
