Andhra Pradesh Gas Distribution Corporation Ltd spent over Rs 400 crore building the Kakinada–Srikakulam Pipeline

With a capacity of 38 mmscmd, it was meant to ferry gas out of a FSRU to be built by Shell and Engie (formerly GDF Suez). But duo backed out later on doubts whether there will be enough gas demand to justify a terminal

That meant that the terminal never got built and the pipeline became a stranded asset

This time around the PNGRB has put out a bid again for the pipeline, but with a different gas source

Here again, we believe that the PNGRB proposal will not work, and we give you reasons why it will not work
