The 2G ethanol initiatives were perhaps entirely politically motivated

For none of them seem to make sense, financially

Here is one project whose viability had to be propped up by building a 1G ethanol project alongwith

It is now going back and forth for sanction

And in all probability, give the delay, given the mess-up, it is unlikely ever to make money, unless the government, as has been demanded, provides a special price for the ethanol that is produced

These are perhaps going to be perpetual white elephants, at tax payers expense
