Solar project stalls as DPR tender cancelled – 7 Mar 2025

A significant solar power project designed to enhance renewable energy infrastructure has encountered a setback as the Detailed Project Report (DPR) tender was cancelled because all bidders did not pass the technical evaluation.

The tender aimed to secure consultancy for project planning across eight sites in Sagar Island and Namkhana Block, but it was terminated after bidders MT Solar, Riddhi Electricals, Roshni Electricals MFG Co., and Surya Roshni Limited did not meet the necessary qualifications.

As a result of the cancellation, the project is facing delays, and a revised tender or new bidding process is anticipated to be announced soon to keep the initiative moving forward.
