Mumbai PTA market on a downward trend – 23 Sep 2024

The Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) market in Mumbai has shown significant stability, according to Indian Petrochem analysts. After a steady trend starting on September 3, 2024, a critical stability phase was observed till September 7, 2024. However, on September 23, 2024, on the back of the supply overhang, the price of the material was pushed down to Rs.72/kg. Although there were expectations of further price increases, the market has now fluctuated, with prices adjusting from Rs.76/kg to Rs.72/kg
