Priority allocation of gas: The argument was not cogently put forward ever – 3 Sep 2024

The website has reached the conclusion that the fertilizer industry has not been able to properly make its case for priority allocation of gas to the urea industry.

It may however never be too late in the day to pitch the argument

The fact that the chemical composition and properties of natural gas make it more effectively utilized in the production of ammonia for fertilizers than as a fuel for CNG vehicles is just one of the arguments.

There are other more cogent arguments available today which have been overlooked by the industry.

Of course there are big players like Adani sitting on the CNG business and it will be difficult to extract a policy revision but it is never too late to try
