A crucial trunk pipeline that transports finished products from Numaligarh refinery shown serious levels of corrosion, pitting, dents, and other types of structural degradation.

And it is not just in one small stretch, the defects have been detected over a 197 km range, and the possibility of spillage and environmental damage cannot be entirely ruled out

These defects were identified via In-Line Inspection
