GAIL to kick start this E&P project – 21 Jun 2024

GAIL has been good in gas transmission and setting up pipelines

Its venture in petrochemicals has not shown great results yet, the IRR is barely positive

And the less one speaks about its E&P ventures, the better it is, just getting past the basic benchmarks under the minimum work programme is a struggle

It has little internal talent or experience

But it trying again in an E&P block but success is not a given

At least there is work ahead for vendors
