Ranjit Rath is one. There were murmurs of protests when Rath with no oil & gas experience was imposed by the PMO on Oil India Ltd

But Rath is more ambitious than what even the PMO thought

He has begun attending investors and analysts conferences, something a PSU chief rarely does, and spins big future production projections which have to be toned down by analysts in their advisories

And while ONGC was going through a tendering trough on account of its reorganization, Rath was pushing through some innovative contract proposals that caught the eye of the industry watcher.

The OIL CMD has become more ambitious now, he wants to leave a Modi-like impact on OIL.
