The biggest barometer of a switch to gas-based generation will not be a government fiat to public sector companies to get that capacity going.

For quick-start gas-based power is needed now as all our evidence from our power sector portal, energylineindia.com, seems to indicate that the grid is in a fragile state given large renewable energy generation.

But one of the best indicators of a systemic change will be when this particular generator starts up its capacity.
