Russia has become India's second-largest supplier of steel, with imports rising massively in the past 11 months. The majority of these imports were hot rolled coils and strips, with offered discounts to Indian traders. Vietnam has also risen as a key steel supplier to India, with imports increasing in the same period. Overall, India's total steel imports (semis and finished) have increased year-on-year, with finished steel accounting for the majority of imports.
