India's aviation sector spreading wings – 22 Mar 2023

In just six years, the number of domestic passengers at Indian airports has more than doubled from 120 million in FY 2014 to about 275 million in FY 2020, with a CAGR of 14.5%. If not for the COVID outbreak, the CAGR could have reached 18-20%. Currently, India has already crossed 4.56 lakh domestic passengers in a day. It is expected that India will have over 140 million passengers in FY 2024 alone.
