Alpek to shut down PET facility – 20 Mar 2023

Alpek, of Mexico, has announced that its PET resin production at its Cooper River location in the United States would be shut down indefinitely. The facility, which was built in the 1970s, has an installed capacity of 170,000 tonnes of PET resin and represents 2% of Alpek's total assets.
