BASF has started manufacturing Sovermol, its first bio-based polyol, in Mangalore, India. The product is designed to meet the region's rapidly expanding need for environmentally acceptable substitutes in a variety of applications, including New Energy Vehicles (NEV), windmills, flooring, and protective industrial coatings.
