The Indian railways had thought of using LNG to power its trains 10 years ago

The report had been gathering dust since then even though an action plan was worked out

LNG in railways has not picked up much traction elsewhere in the world

So should the railways dust up the report?

In any case, LNG consumption by the Indian railways will at best be a small fraction of total demand, not amounting to more than 5%
