Equinor and Petrobras have a long history of collaboration. The companies have signed a letter of intent to deepen their collaboration and assess the viability of seven offshore wind power production projects off the coast of Brazil, with a total capacity of 14.5 GW. The assessment is designed to assist the country's energy transition efforts by covering technological, economic, and environmental aspects.
