South Korea gets the ball rolling for the most giant naphtha-fed steam cracker – 13 Mar 2023

S-Oil, a South Korean oil refiner, has launched its Shaheen refinery-integrated petrochemical plant project, which includes the construction of the largest naphtha-fed steam cracker with a capacity of 1.8 million metric tons per year of ethylene. The project is expected to be completed by 2026, and the company plans to begin commercial operations in the same year.
