BASF cut backs in Europe – 28 Feb 2023

BASF Group has undertaken a massive cost-cutting drive in Europe, and particularly in Germany, and has announced the closure of many industrial sites at its flagship location. The strict measures are in reaction to a considerable business downturn at BASF, which occurred amid a harsh trade climate caused by the Ukrainian conflict and, in particular, rising raw material and energy costs.
