HMEL's Punjab naphtha-fed cracker engulfed by fire – 27 Feb 2023

A fire broke out at the Guru Gobind Singh refinery of Hindustan Petroleum-Mittal Energy (HMEL) in Punjab. The fire erupted near the quench oil pump at the producer's 1.2 million t/yr naphtha-fed cracker due to an oil leak that caused dense smoke.
