Sinopec launches integrated methanol-to-hydrogen refueling station – 24 Feb 2023

China generates 60% of the world's methanol production, making it the largest producer in the world. The first hydrogen and methanol refueling service station in China was formally opened by the China Petroleum & Chemical Company (Sinopec), which can create 1,000 kilos of hydrogen per day with a purity of 99.999 percent. Methanol to hydrogen conversion is the best method for producing hydrogen since it is cheaper to store and transport than hydrogen.
