$3.5 billion EV battery manufacturing facility coming up – 20 Feb 2023

In order to produce cheaper batteries for a variety of new and existing electric vehicles (EVs), US automaker Ford Motor Co. plans to construct a US$3.5 billion factory in the US. China's CATL, a manufacturer of lithium-iron-phosphate batteries, will provide technology, some equipment, and a workforce for the project.
