From silicone-coated airbags to recycled PA66 – 6 Feb 2023

Toray Industries of Japan claims to have created recycled nylon 66 from cut-up scraps of silicone-coated airbag fabric. According to the manufacturer, this material has the same mechanical and flowability characteristics as injection moulding grades made from virgin nylon 66.
