Smithers certified to perform UNECE R117 – 3 Feb 2023

UNECE R117 rolling resistance testing may be done at Ohio's Smithers Tire & Wheel Test Center. For tires imported into the European Union, the rule specifies standards for maximum tire rolling sound emissions, minimum wet grip performance, maximum rolling resistance, and conformity of production (CoP). For C1 (passenger car) and C2 (light truck) tires, UNECE R117 testing is applicable.
