Tata Steel Downstream Products Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Steel Limited (TSL), was initially established in 1997 under the name of Tata Ryerson Limited, a 50:50 joint venture between TSL and Ryerson Inc., primarily to cater to TSL’s processing requirements. Ryerson Inc. sold its equity stake to TSL in June 2009
