In the ideal context, it would be easy to assume that GAIL should make super-normal profits.

After all, it has 5.8 million tonnes of cheap Henry Hub priced LNG, and if it were to arbitrage a few of these cargoes in the very high-priced European or JKM markets, it would make more profits than the company would earn in a year from its regular activities

But the reality was different, it seems
