Penalty on tyre producers: All India Kisan Sabha makes dramatic point – 11 Feb 2022

The All India Kisan Sabha, a farmers’ group aligned with Left parties, on Thursday demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi provide Rs 1,788 crore, equal to the penalty amount imposed by regulator CCI on tyre corporates, as grant to rubber farmers to set up a tyre manufacturing unit
Clearly, this demand is unlikely to be accepted but does make a dramatic point
