Limited stock of PET in Mumbai pushes prices – 2 Jan 2014

Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) prices were on an upswing in Mumbai today due to limited availability of stock in the market. A PET manufacturer told the website that “there is strong demand from end user sectors for PET; however supplies in Mumbai market aren’t sufficient to fulfill the demand”.
 
Currently the price of PET in Mumbai is higher than what it had been in December. The price at the beginning of last month was aroundrs.116-118 per kg, however at the end of the month this price range increased to Rs. 117-121 per kg. Today, pet is selling at Rs. 121-123 per kg.
