The thing about New Delhi is that it is the centre of immense power. An entire sub-continent is run from here by powerful men sitting in South block and across the road in North Block. The settings in these Lutyens' buildings are grand and imperial.

Delhi is like a darbar, the players or courtiers may keep getting reshuffled but the darbar remains in place, as it had always been for perhaps 500 years

And no one is too important. And everyone is eventually disposable
