Shortage of PE likely to strengthen price in Delhi market – 4 Feb 2014

Shortage of PE in the Delhi market has raised prospects for prices for the polymer category going up in the market. A trader in the market, who deals in PE materials of GAIL, said," HDPE and LLDPE stocks are short in the market, as fresh supplies of GAIL are yet to reach the market." He further said,"Prices of HDPE and LLDPE also,thus, are likely to go up in the market." 
 

Demand for PE materials could be expected to be strong in the coming days as full-fledged manufacturing of end-products are going on. Most PE item manufacturers are learnt to operate their units at almost full capacities. Although, purchases have weakened after the producer price hikes, buying activities are expected to turn strong in the coming days.
