Shortage of LLDPE prevails in Indian markets, price not likely to go up – 25 Feb 2014
Feb 25, 2014
Stocks of the LLDPE material have been lessening in polymer markets in India as traders did not receive adequate supplies of the material from producers. Demand for the material has been, however, moderate, and the prevailing price of the polymer has been imparting cost pressure on buyers, according to market information received. In the Delhi and Mumbai markets today, the LLDPE (Film) material was sold today at around Rs 125.50-128 a kg and Rs 126-133 a kg respectively. Moreover, producers rolling over their ex-work prices in the next price revisions are the most likely.
Traders in the Delhi market told the website that GAIL had released some LLDPE supplies to the market, but, the supplies were less to cater to the prevailing demand. A Mumbai-based trader said that Reliance Industries Limited had not released LLDPE supplies.
