Apr 03, 2014
LDPE buyers in India are continuing to purchase the raw material on need-basis, resulting in traders seeing moderate demand conditions in respect to the polymer. Some market participants also expect that softening Ethylene prices in the Asian region will lower price of the polymer in the near future. A Mumbai-based trader said," Demand for the LDPE material is moderate, and it is expected to strengthen if the price goes down."
A LDPE Film manufacturer in Mumbai said," We are continuing to adhere to the need-based raw material purchase strategy. We are also looking for building a raw material inventory as we expect demand for our end-product to gain momentum."
In the Mumbai-market today, prices of the Film and Injection Moulding grades of LDPE were sold at around Rs 135-136 a kg and Rs 136-137 a kg respectively.
