PVC demand strengthens in India; prices not impacted – 25 Apr 2014

PVC sales, of late, are gaining momentum in Indian polymer markets on the back of invigorating manufacturing activities in the end-industries. Market participants told Indianpetrochem that demand for the polymer has been strengthening during the last few days from not only the pipe sector, but also from other sectors as well. 
 

However, price of the polymer has not yet undergone any notable movement. In the major markets in the country, prices of the polymer are at around Rs 84 a kg.
 

A source from a PVC producer in the country said," Demand for PVC has been picking up since the second week of this month, from pipe as well as other sectors."
