LLDPE shortage likely to push price up in Indian markets – 7 May 2014

The major polymer markets in India have witnessed dull demand and shortage of the LLDPE resin. Market participants apprehend that prices of the polymer in open markets of the country will go up on account of the shortage. 
 

Most end-users procured the material on need-basis, and they have been waiting for the stock situation to increase to decide firmly on their raw material procurement strategy.
 

In the Mumbai market today, the LLDPE (Film) material was sold at around Rs 132-133 a kg.
