Strong ABS demand keeps the price at high; Price decline not likely – 4 Jun 2014

ABS off-takes have been firm in Indian polymer markets on account of vigorous manufacturing of the prominent end-industries, like appliance, air conditioners. Traders in the major markets in the country have told the website that they experienced strong demand for the engineering polymer, and the demand is expected to increase further. Clearly, the strong demand conditions are also going to restrict any downward movement in the price. 
 

In the Delhi market, shortage of the material was also reported due to the recent shut-down of Bhansali Engineering Polymer Limited's plant, and less arrival of imports. The plant has, however, started operations, and the stock situation is likely to improve.
 

The current price of the engineering polymer is at Rs 130 a kg (basic). And, market prices are at around Rs 150 a kg.
