An attempt to make LNG market more flexible – 4 May 2016

The world’s biggest LNG importer, Japan, aims to become an international trading hub for LNG by early 2020. 
This is an attempt to make LNG market more flexible in terms of breaking the pricing link to crude oil and also in doing away with the single destination clauses that are part of most long-term supply contracts.
For  this to happen, Japan still has to do more in terms of increasing storage facilities.
