4 AHTS vessel tender: Wide variation in day rates – 17 Sep 2021

Higher prices were elicited in the recent short-term contract for four 80 T AHTS vessel requirement by ONGC.

But there was wide variation in the quotes, between L-1 and the L-4. Question is there were four bidders for four vessels, will the others match the L-1 rates

Also, it was noticed that those who did not want to lower their rates for long-term hire have quoted higher in this tender, thereby furthering the notion that below a price, owners are not willing to lend their vessels at low prices, and would rather risk looking for other assignments
