Praj Industries: An update – 13 Aug 2021

Praj Industries Ltd has been dubbed as the “World’s Greatest Brand of 2020-21. What is more, its boss, Pramod Chaudhari, has been called the “Global Indian of the Year 2020-21 by a magazine.

But keeping that aside from this website's point of view, BPCL's Bargarh 2G ethanol blending project ran into trouble when Tata Projects defaulted on its EPC contract claiming that the technical details from Praj, who is the licensor, were insufficient to build the Rs 1000 crore project

BPCL is now building it on its own, using Tata Consulting Engineers as the EPCM contractor while retaining Praj as the technology supplier

Then again, Praj doesn't really have the best financial performance to show. Its Q-1 profits were less than half of the previous quarter
