DCM to increase Chlorine, Caustic Soda production capacity – 10 Oct 2014

DCM Shriram Consolidated Limited will increase its Chlorine and Caustic Soda production capacity, at its existing manufacturing facility at Bharuch in Gujarat. According to the information received, the company has decided to more than double the combined production capacity, from 450 tonne per day to 915 tonne per day.

The products are vital ingredients in the production of PVC, which is used to manufacturer various end-products, like pipes, sheets, fittings, doors, windows, household items etc.

The company is also one of the four PVC producers in India. The company, however, does not have any plan to increase its PVC production capacity, as learnt in a communication with a company official.
